He put a ring on it

We went to Michael Hill in Westfield. I'd always wanted rose gold with a black diamond. There was a few rose gold and the lovely lady said they don't stock black diamonds as they are so rare and a lot are fake. Well we won't be having a black diamond then. I tired what I have on "Try that babe" Paul said "Nah its too big" It wasn't what I thought I'd go for. I did love it but didn't think it would suit me. "That's the one" Paul said, and the lady smiled and agreed. I tried a couple more on and I kept going back to that one. Well that was easy. First ring and Paul bought it. We went back the week after and picked up my ring, Paul's and he had to get a watch to match didn't he. "Can I wear it now?" I said. "No, I haven't proposed yet" he replied. "Ohh no! Don't do it in front of people please😩"
(I'm sorry if you all thought the proposal was going to be romantic cause it really wasn't).
We got home. Had showers. Got my pajamas on ready to get into bed. Put Fifty Shades of Grey on my Mac Book then went to the toilet. Came back sat on the edge of then bed, swung round to get under the covers and there he was leaning up on the bed with the box in his hand.  I screamed and then have no idea what what he said. He must have asked me to marry him. Was all a blur but I remember crying and then going out on the balcony from our bedroom and took photos (of course).
It was weird that we'd booked our wedding, had our rings but we weren't actually engaged. But now we were:)
I told family and very close friends. Family were told I was engaged on the Thursday and I was pregnant on the Friday the day of our 13 week scan. They couldn't cope with too much news at once. Little did they know they'd be getting more in two weeks time. The only people in England who knew I was getting married was my Mam and Dad. It was so exciting! Troy and Jonny made the epic drive to Sydney from Griffith to come and stay with us for a couple of nights. It was so good to see them and the first time they got to meet Paul in person. I love Sydney and miss it so bad. Please all visit. The best thing about getting married when pregnant is not having to diet. I'd looked in my favourite shop 'Tree of Life' for my wedding dress. I knew in my head what I wanted but I couldn't find it. I went into the city with Natalie but still no luck. I wasn't as panicked as I thought I would be. I couldn't get the Bridezilla status. I got home and ordered two dresses off ASOS. They came and I tried to like one but I looked awful. It'll be reet I thought. But then thought oh shit I'm getting married in two weeks. I sort of need a dress. We went to Paramata to find a suit for Paul. We got one no bother. The girl behind the counter asked what it was for. "Our wedding" "Ohh wow" she said. I said "I haven't got mine yet" She said have you been to Tree of Life. I replied with "Everyone in Sydney I think" "Theres one just around the corner. Go and have a look" she said. We left the shop and I said to Paul "I'm not gonna bother cause it won't be there" "Let's just go and see" he said. We walked in, he walked right over to a dress and said "This is it!!" I couldn't believe my luck. It was exactly what I'd visioned in my head. And it was the only one. I tried it on. It was perfect! It just needed nipped in at the boob area. I took it to the till and had watery eyes. I was so happy and relieved. The girl behind the till was thrilled when I told her it was my wedding dress and shocked when I said I was getting married in less than two weeks. Natalie put us in touch with a florist. Me and Paul met up with her and her business partner. She was from Workington!! and had been in Aus 8year. Such a small world. Was so good to hear a Cumbrian accent. You wouldn't believe. Check her out on Instagram.......  dancingladyorchid. Those girls were simply amazing and I can't thank them enough. I showed them my ideas and told them the flowers and greenery I wanted and they excelled. Above and beyond. I had to measure my own fat head for my flower crown and I was so frightened on the day that it wouldn't sit right. Honestly, it couldn't have been more perfect. I asked Paul's Niece to be my bridesmaid. She was so excited. I got her dress online. I ordered her 3 and this the one she liked best. She knows her own mind that girl and it was hard work making a compromise with shoes. She did well. Paul's Nephew was his best Man. I asked Paul's sister and my old Boss if they would be our witnesses.
